BLACK+DECKER
A 2.6 lb cordless hand vacuum with a rotating nozzle, pull-out crevice tool and washable dirt bowl; about 11 minutes of runtime.
Quick car and sofa clean-ups: crumbs, dust and pet hair on seats and mats.
Sand deep in carpet or a full interior detail: a measured test found far more suction in corded and tool-battery vacuums.
In a 14-vacuum independent test (see the sources), the Dustbuster measured about 680 to 700 pascals of suction, 53 CFM of airflow and 17.6 air watts: the best of the lower-powered group, but about ten times less suction than the strongest wet/dry shop vacuum in the test. The tester called it a pretty good result for roughly fifty dollars at the time of the test. Runtime is the trade-off.

A 14-vacuum measurement test shows how suction in pascals, airflow in CFM and real pick-up relate. Read the chart, then decide between a hand vacuum, a tool-battery vacuum and a shop vac.

Use a published measurement test to show how far a headline suction number can be from the pressure a tester actually recorded, with a fair-play caveat and two vacuums compared.
