Our verdict
The Oria is the slim alternative: 11 cm deep, 2.8 litres in total, described as fridge-fitting, and sold with six Evolve+ cartridges so you are not buying refills straight away. The listing says Evolve+ reduces limescale along with chlorine, microplastics and other impurities, and gives 100 litres per cartridge. What it does not give is a limescale reduction figure or the filtered capacity, so you cannot compare it like for like with BRITA's Limescale Expert. Skip it if limescale is your main reason for buying and you want the strongest published claim. The variant trap: the Oria is sold with 6 or 9 cartridges and in several colours, and Aqua Optima also sells the Liscia and Perfect Pour jugs, so check the title.
Cartridge maths
At 100 litres per cartridge, a household filtering 3 litres a day gets about 33 days from each. Check the pack for a time limit as well and change at whichever comes first.

The listing does not say so. Use Evolve+ cartridges made for the Oria.
How we researched this
We read the Amazon.co.uk listing and Thames Water's hard water page on 2026-10-10. Aqua Optima's own website could not be opened when we checked. We did not test the jug.
