Our take

Our verdict
The iO2 is Oral-B's simplest iO brush and a straightforward first electric toothbrush. You get one button, three quiet intensity levels, a 2-minute timer and a pressure sensor that slows the brush and shows red when you push too hard. Oral-B says the battery lasts up to 4 weeks, which is the longest in this comparison. Skip it if you have no shaver socket and want USB charging, or if you have a drawer full of older Oral-B Pro heads, because the iO2 takes iO heads only. The variant trap: iO2 bundles differ (with or without travel case, extra heads or toothpaste), and iO3 and above add more modes, so check the listing title and contents.
Heads and care
Oral-B advises replacing the head every 3 months, in line with the Oral Health Foundation. The 100% plaque figure on the listing is Oral-B's own claim against a manual brush.
FAQ
