Our verdict
The Lift is the vertical mouse to try first if your hands are small to medium, and the obvious choice for left-handers because Logitech makes a dedicated Lift Left. It holds the hand at 57 degrees, runs on a single AA battery that Logitech says can last up to 24 months, and connects by Bluetooth or the Logi Bolt receiver in the box. Skip it if you have large hands; the MX Vertical is Logitech's larger option. The variant trap: the standard Lift is right-handed, and the business version and colour variants have different listings, so check the title says Left if you need it.
Getting comfortable
Set the pointer speed in Logi Options+ so small movements reach the corners of your screen without lifting the mouse. Keep it close to the keyboard, as HSE suggests, and let the side of your hand rest on the desk.
FAQ
Does it need a USB port?
Only if you use the Logi Bolt receiver, which needs a USB-A port. Bluetooth works without it.
Can I use it with a laptop and a desktop?
Yes. Logitech lists Easy-Switch for up to 3 devices.
